Clean up your PC:Power Protection

Checklist for power protection:
Remove and reset the cables plugged into your protector surge.
Lookout for the units warning indicator if your pc has any.
Even if there is a voltage spike the surge protectors still power your PC and also prepare it for a second spike in the future.
If there are no warning indicators in the power protector and if there are frequent power outages ,you need to replace the power protectors with the one that has an indicator which is UL 1449 certified.

clean up your PC:Monitor

Wipe the monitor case and clear its obstructions from the vents, and be careful not to push dust into the unit. Clean the screen with a standard glass cleaner and a wiping cloth. If your monitor has a degauss button (look for a small magnet icon), push it to clear magnetic interference. Many LCDs can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol; but check with your LCD manufacturer before you use it . Wipe your LCD very lightly as you would know the underlying glass is fragile

Clean up your PC:MOuse

it is not your typical mouse (rat) in your household.I am talking about the mechanical mouse used for the PC.Sometimes even the mechanical mouse acts as a Household mouse or rat when it is dirty and the pointer always moves earratically all around the screen.you need to unscrew the mouse and remove the magnetic ball. ,wipe it clean. And put the whole thing back and screw it

Clean up your PC :Keyboard

Once i was workign on a project of mine and i was facing a problem whenever i was using a keyword to type ,i had to press harder on the words.i was thinking of buying a new one when my friend suggested that i try cleaning up the keyboard before i think of buying a new one.So he came over and turned the keyboard upside down and started shaking for a while.Only then i realised who the culprit was for my keyboard not working properly. It was me....yes u saw it right...
it has tiny particles of breads crumbs, dust particles, tinybits of paper,etc...i was shocked .
he told me to use a tweezers as they help in removing dust particles ,and also the portable cleaning machine once or twice in a month .
it really helped...from then on i didnt find it difficult to use a keyboard..
from then....

Outside the PC

Before you start anything like cleaning or removing the case make sure you dont anything that could heat up the temperature like near the kitchen or windows not covered as sunshine plays a role in generating heat in the room.
It is always advisable to do the cleanup when the place is dust free and no wind bblowing.
Make sure that the system is switched off and unplugged.
It is always advised not to pour any cleaning liquid or water directly on the case or on the parts.
it is best advised to pour liquid on to a wiping cloth and wipe the casing with the cloth in circles from outside to inside or vice versa.
Always clean the ventilations of the casing as they may contain obstructions .Use your mom's hairblower pointing from inside to outside .if you do it in a wrong way dust particles might get into PC or into optical .
Keep all the cables attached firmly to their connectors of the casing.
